TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL RESERVATIONS OF SIX CONTINENTS HOTELS DE COLOMBIA (INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL CARTAGENA)
OBJECTIVE
To inform in a clear and precise way the terms and conditions of a room reservation at Six Continents Hotels De Colombia S.A. (Hotel InterContinental Cartagena). An individual reservation is a reservation made by a client that is not part of a group or a negotiation for more than 09 rooms.
APPLICABILITY
Terms and conditions applicable to the customer who has purchased an individual accommodation reservation at Six Continents Hotels De Colombia S.A. (Hotel InterContinental Cartagena).
1. CONCEPTS
1.1. Check In and Check Out Policy:
Your reservation starts at 3:00 p.m. on the day of the arrival and ends at noon (12:00 p.m.) on the day of departure.
1.2. Housing Registration Card:
- Providers of tourist lodging services must keep the guest registry by filling out the lodging registration form in our system that, for all purposes the national government may dispose of.
- The lodging registration form stands as a proof of the lodging contract.
1.3. Early Check-In Policy:
- Subject to availability.
- Check in before 6:00 a.m. is charged for the entire night. Breakfast will be granted as well, if it’s included in the rate of the following days.
- Check-in between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. is charged half rate, granting breakfast in case the rate of the following days does not include it.
1.4. Early Departure Policy:
- Inform one day prior to the new departure date, so that the hotel can have the room available for sale.
- Failure to provide such information in advance, will subject the guest to be charged for the night(s).
- Charge 100% of the unused nights for group reservations.
1.5. Late Check Out Policy (after 12:00 p.m.):
- Subject to availability.
- Late check out until 2:00 p.m. free of charge when part of the IHG ONE REWARD loyalty program.
- Late check out between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. will be charged half the rate of the total amount of the stay.
- Late check out after 7:00 p.m. will be charged the full rate of the stay.
2. UPSELLING PROGRAM
- Subject to availability
- The client will be offered the possibility of purchasing attributes that improve their initial reservation such as: change of view, change of room category, access to the hotel’s lounge club, early check-in, late check-out.
- The client will accept the additional charge that will be generated by these voluntarily selected improvements.
- The client may not reverse the purchase of upgrades once he/she enters his/her room.
3. Cancellation and Modification Policy:
- You may cancel or modify your reservation(s) without penalty if you do so before 3:00 p.m. the day before your arrival date; in case you do not make use of your reservation and have not canceled or modified it within the established time, you will be charged a penalty for the rate of the first night’s lodging, plus taxes and additional services reserved. This does not apply to non-refundable rates.
- Non-guaranteed reservations will be canceled 72 hours prior to arrival date.
4. Underage Registration Policy:
If you are traveling with your child(ren) under 18 years old, you must present the identification document of the minor(s) or (civil registry), which proves the nature of the relationship. If the minor(s) is not traveling in the company of his/her parents, you must submit at the reception desk the parents’ permission, in addition to the minor’s identification document (civil registry). Such documents must be authenticated by a public notary and accompanied by a copy of the identification document of those who gave the authorization. Without this documentation, minors will not be allowed to enter the hotel. The above is in accordance with the provisions of Law 679 of 2001 Statute to Prevent Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents and its concordant rules.
5. Anti-corruption and anti-fraud policy:
We do not allow dishonest behavior or practices that threaten business integrity, such as: offering or accepting gifts, invitations, or other incentives that may reward or influence to take or refrain from taking any commercial or legal action, or when intentionally concealing, altering, falsifying or omitting information for their own benefit or for the benefit of others, or
the incursion in possible conflicts of interest that could put personal priorities before the collective ones; promoting a culture of ethics, transparency and rectitude in the development of activities.
6. Smoking Policy:
We would like to inform you that our hotel is a SMOKE FREE property. For your health and safety, smoking is NOT allowed in the room. If this rule is not respected, an amount of COP 2.000.0000 + VAT will be charged and reflected in your bill.
7. Companion Policy:
Due to security reasons, all our guests must be registered at the front desk during check in. New guests are not allowed during the stay. InterContinental Cartagena will not admit the registration of additional guests or companions if they were not registered by the time of check in, according to its security policies.
8. Policy for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing:
To be aware and committed to the fight against Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism – ML/FT, making every effort to prevent the company from being involved in illegal acts, not only for reasons of loyalty but also for reasons of ethics and legality, in compliance with a policy in accordance with legal standards. Therefore, the client declares under oath, which is understood to have been taken with the signing of the contract, that the resources that make up its assets do not come from money laundering, financing of terrorism, drug trafficking, illegal money collection and in general from any illegal activity; likewise, the client declares that the resources delivered or that will be delivered as consideration for the services offered by the hotel, come from lawful activity. For purposes of the foregoing, the client expressly authorizes the hotel to consult the lists, information systems and databases that may be necessary and if any report is found, the hotel will proceed to take the appropriate contractual and/or legal actions. The client is responsible to carry out all necessary activities or steps to ensure that its partners, managers, contractors, customers, suppliers, employees, etc., and/or their resources, are not related to or come from illegal activities, particularly those listed above. These conducts will give rise to the legitimate termination of the lodging contract by the hotel.
9. Declaration of Origin and Destination of Funds:
The guest declares that its economic and/or physical resources do not come from and will not be destined to illicit activities contemplated in the Colombian Criminal Code or in any norm that modifies or adds to it.
10. Authorization for the Processing of Personal Data:
The guest authorizes SIX CONTINENTS HOTELS DE COLOMBIA (HOTEL INTERCONTINENTAL CARTAGENA) to process their personal data, that has been
delivered through the various marketing channels such as websites, call centers, among others.
The hotel informs that the personal data will be kept with special care, in accordance with the provisions of Law 1266 of 2008, Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and other rules that modify, regulate or extend the regulation on the subject, as well as the provisions of the Privacy Policy Manual and Personal Data Treatment.
11. Withdrawal Policy:
When booking our services through the website www.ihg.com or directly with the hotel via email or phone calls, may exercise the right of withdrawal no later than within five working days from the confirmation of purchase. The withdrawal will not apply to reservations whose check-in date is before five days.
To apply for the right of withdrawal, please send an e-mail to cartagena@ihg.com if you made your purchase through the web page, or contact the Reservation Center if you made your purchase through this channel. The money will be refunded without deductions of any kind, by bank wire in the name of the reservation holder or by reversal to the credit card used for the purchase. Depending on the payment method used, the refund will be reflected within 30 calendar days from the time the right is exercised.
12. Reversal Policy:
When booking our services through www.ihg.com or the Reservation Center and you have used a credit or debit card, or any other electronic payment instrument issued by a financial entity domiciled in Colombia, you may request a reversal in case of fraud, unsolicited transaction or purchased product not received.
13. NO SHOW
When the user of the services fails to comply by not showing up or not using the agreed services, the hotel may require at its discretion the payment of 20% of the total price or established rate, or retain the deposit received from the user if so agreed.
In case the guest makes a reservation through channels that are not direct with the hotel or www.ihg.com and needs to modify or cancel, the guest must do so with the agency or website where originally booked. The hotel InterContinental Cartagena will not make modifications to reservations that are not made directly between the client and the hotel.
14. The hotel is a commercial establishment open to the public with restricted access. The hotel reserves the right of admission and stay within its property.
15. The hotel is under no obligation to extend accommodation contracts if there is no space available, except in extraordinary cases, in accordance with the law.
16. The hotel may relocate the guest to another hotel or proceed to refund the money in case of overbooking.
17. The hotel has closed-circuit television, so the guest will be being recorded for security reasons, except inside the rooms. The recordings are of a private use of the hotel and the guest will not have access to them, except by order of a competent judicial authority.
18. The guest is forbidden to record in their areas sexual activities, offensive, ridiculing actions that affect the reputation of the hotel, or that attempt against life or health.
19. Pets are not allowed.
With your reservation you accept the content of this contract and especially the terms and conditions established by the hotel, which are presented to the guest through our website.
